Anderson is the wild card here. The teams are so close in terms of firepower, that it's going to be on the goalies. Vasi has stood on his head against the Leafs, but Anderson has had some rotten puck luck with the Bolts. If Anderson is dialed in (and stays there), the Lightning are in for a serious battle.

I just hope the Bolts take this game seriously and aren't looking past the Leafs at this point.

Honestly, I don't care whether the Lightning win this one or not, I just don't want any injuries. As long as nobody gets hurt, I'm good with the result. It will be an entertaining game to watch.

Really like the way the Leafs have risen to challenge so far this year against TB. Even the game they lost they could have won 8-2. They got a gift last night with Beaners losing so if they've got a shot at home ice then a win tonight is a must. If they lose they can be expected to cut Andersen's workload down bigtime.

Not many guys on the Leafs that would look to hurt anybody (accidents aside). Aside from maybe Kadri/Paquette trying to kill each other.

I didn't mean to imply that there are headhunters on Toronto's roster. I just meant that I don't want to see any injuries of any kind for any reason. No awkward falls or fluky stuff.

Yeah, these games are usually intense, but clean.

I think regardless of what happens we play Sparks on wednesday vs CHI. Andersen'll need a little time after what will certainly be a big game tonight.

I think 1 game out of 14 is tough to say they lost home ice.

"Frederik Andersen will make his fifth straight start for Toronto and likely Vezina Trophy competitor Andrei Vasilevskiy (31-8-0, 2.24 GAA, .931 save percentage) will go for Tampa Bay."

- mikeinbuffalo

So, without using the words, you're actually saying that you don't think Andersen is a Vezina competitor...!?

I want Kucherov and Hedman to suffer major injuries on the same shift. Fight me.

I also think he winds up around 58 games for the year
TB
CHI - off
PHI - on 3 days rest
PHI - off
NSH - on 3 days rest
BUF - off
NYR - on 3 days rest
FLA- off
PHI - on 3 days rest
OTT - off
NYI - on 4 days rest
CAR - off
TB - on 2 days rest
MTL - off

That would put him at 57 games. With 60 being the upper ceiling if there's still a shot at home ice, but the schedule isn't bad so they shouldn't need world-class goaltending the whole way.

4 points is a tough defecit against a Bruins team that rarely loses nowadays.

Kucherov and Tavares are going to break their hands on each other in a fight.

Hedman and Matthews slew foot each other, fall awkwardly, and blow all four of their knees out.

Marner see this carnage, vomits, passes out on his feet and falls to the ice, giving himself a concussion.

All of this madness finally overcomes Stamkos, who goes nuts and is carried off in a straight-jacket while yelling something about pepperoni and syrup.
